WNEW-AM PROMOS:
ALLEN/Time Change Promo--pre-switch--9/2/87--ab
MS: Hello, everybody, I'm Steve Allen.
SA: And I'm Mark…no, I'm Steve Allen.
MS: Then I must be Mark Simone.
SA: Unquestionably. Ladies and gentlemen,
what this is leading up to is the fact that
starting September 14th, we're going to give you the chance to confuse
us all the
time.
MS: We're already confused all the time.
SA: That may well be true, but
no longer will you or I--or anyone, for that matter--need
to worry about if this is a California week, will Mark be on at 10 and
Steve join in
at noon, or if Steve and Mark will both start at 10…
MS: Because you'll hear both of
us every afternoon from 2 to 5.
SA: Along with our usual
cast of characters…
MS: Whoever they are at the moment.
SA: So join us, won't
you please, for The Steve Allen Show, starting September 14th in
its new time slot…
MS: Weekday afternoons from
2 to 5, right after the Make-Believe Ballroom with
Jonathan Schwartz, on AM 1130/WNEW.

Ted Brown: Toys for Tots--12/8/87--ab
TB:
Hello, everybody--this is Ted Brown. You know, I've been pretty lucky--I've
got two lovely daughters, Jamie and Samantha...and when the holidays come
around, I can pretty much get them whatever they want. But there are a
lot of other kids whose holiday wish list won't be filled...unless people
like you and me decide to help. Here's what I'm going to do--I'm going
to be at 1 World Trade Center on the morning of Wednesday, December 16th
from 7 to 10--to collect toys for Toys for Tots. Nola will be there, too,
with some special guests, entertainment, and free refreshments. Now here's
how you can help--come on down to see us, and bring a toy. Doesn't have
to be big...doesn't have to be anything fancy...just something that will
bring a smile to a little kid's face on Christmas morning. Now, can I count
on you to help us help?
